Since the 1950s, our aim has been to develop students' physical culture and health-conscious attitudes. Our institute is not only the organiser of compulsory physical education classes, but also a committed supporter of quality recreational and competitive university sport.
A Dr. László Edvy The institute, managed by the University of Cologne, provides modern infrastructure for sports, including the University Gymnasium, stadium and gym. Students can find something for every level, from recreational exercise to professional competition. Our mission: to make sport an integral part of university life.
VESC: Half a century of passion in sportA University of Veszprém Sports Club (VESC) has been at the heart of university life for more than 50 years. The mission of the association has been unbroken since its inception: to promote physical culture and the joy of movement not only for students but for the whole region.
The VESC has become the dominant sports community in the region, where currently in 16 departments - from athletics to sailing - sports lovers can find their sporting dreams come true. Whether it's recreational, youth or elite level competition, the club provides a professional framework and supportive environment for all generations.

VEDAC: World-class success, local communityA Veszprém University and Student Athletics Club (VEDAC) is not just an association, but one of the most important bastions of Hungarian athletics. In its nearly three-decade history, it has given the city legendary athletes such as Olympic champion Balázs Kiss, and their successes have made the name of Veszprém known around the world.
In addition to professional work in the throwing, running and skills disciplines, VEDAC pays special attention to the development of young athletes and the strength of the community. The project will focus on community building, sustainability and inclusiveness, taking advantage of the unique natural features of the Bakony and Lake Balaton.
