Small-sided football house championship Competition rules 2026/2027 AUTUMN

1. The aim of the championship:

The general aim of the University of Pannonia's five-a-side football house championship is to satisfy the need for physical activity and sport through the popularisation of football, as well as to ensure the completion of the physical education requirement. The main objective of the event is to have players and teams who love football from the city and surrounding area compete in an organised league system, and to entertain the spectators of the matches. The purpose of the championship final is to determine the winners and placed teams of the championship.

2. Organiser of the championship: University of Pannonia Institute of Physical Education and Sport

3. Participants in the championship:

Teams that accept the competition rules and agree to be bound by them, submit their entry by the deadline and pay the entry fee may participate in the championship. The team may consist of students, instructors, alumni and employees of the University of Pannonia, as well as external players.

4. Duration and venue of the championship:

Location: University artificial turf pitch (40×20 m), goal size: 3×2 m (handball goal)

Duration:

2026/2027/Semester 1: 22 September – 15 December 2026.

5. Kick-off times for league matches:

On Monday and Wednesday afternoons from 18:00 to 21:00. Match times according to a separate draw.

6. Deciding the placings:

The standings of the regular season of the championship are determined by the total number of points earned in the championship matches.

In the event of a tie, the following order shall decide:

– more wins,

– goal difference,

– more goals scored.

If all of the above are tied, a penalty shootout will take place between the teams concerned.

3 points are awarded for a win, 1 point for a draw, and 0 points for a defeat. In the case of disqualified or withdrawn teams, for the remaining matches of the season, the disqualified or withdrawn team suffers a 5-0 defeat.

7. Remuneration:

The 1st-placed team will receive a challenge trophy, and the 1st to 3rd-placed teams will be awarded cups, certificates, and medals. The top goalscorer, the best goalkeepers in both the lower and upper brackets, and the best outfield player will be rewarded with special prizes. One player in each of the lower and upper brackets will be specially rewarded with a Fair Play award.

8. Right to play:

A medical certificate is not compulsory; players participate at their own risk.

9. Withdrawal, deletion, postponement:

Should any team withdraw from the championship, the intention to withdraw must be communicated in writing to the organisers (Péter Finta).

If a team fails to turn up at the scheduled time, the 3 points for the match shall be awarded to the opposing team with a 5-0 goal difference.

In the event of a second failure to appear, the team will be disqualified from the championship, and they will not be able to obtain a signature for the physical education subject through the intramural tournament.

A match time may only be changed if both teams agree to this and forward this in writing to the organisers, and the intention to change the time must be notified at least 2 days before the match. The postponed match must be played within 1 week of the original time.

10. Other provisions:

Match duration: 2 halves of 15 minutes, with a short half-time break (3 minutes).

The matches must be played at the designated venue and time; any deviation from this is only permitted with the written agreement of both teams and the consent of the organising body.

The teams consist of 4 outfield players and 1 goalkeeper, and unlimited substitutions are allowed during the match. The maximum squad size is 12 players.

The draw for the qualifiers and the tournament format will be announced after the entry deadline.

Failure to meet the entry fee payment deadline may result in a deduction of points or even disqualification.

The organisers undertake to take into account the times preferred by the teams as far as possible, but by entering, every team undertakes that they will be able to play matches at the times designated by the organisers.
