Aikido

A modern Japanese martial art based on the unity of body and mind. Its main objective is to take over the attacker's power and neutralize him based on harmonious movement, without the use of punches and kicks. Training also emphasizes the development of discipline, respect and self-control. Essential elements include throws, stretches and rolls, which develop both physical and mental skills.

Airsoft shooting

A dynamic shooting discipline that focuses on finding the optimum balance between accuracy and speed. The sport uses airsoft guns that fire low-energy (around 1J) 6mm fragmentation projectiles. The task is usually to target metal objects on signal, with strict attention to safe weapon handling. Performance is assessed by timing and penalty points, and goggles must be worn.

Body shaping exercises

This dynamic, musical workout focuses on shaping the body and toning the muscles. It consists of repetitive exercises using different equipment (e.g. dumbbells, rubber bands, fitball) or your own body weight. The aim of the sessions is to target problem areas (abdomen, thighs, glutes) and to improve endurance and flexibility. Ideal for anyone who wants to improve their body contour and general fitness.

Animal shelter volunteering in 2 locations

Volunteering for the welfare of shelter animals, mainly by walking dogs. The aim of the activity is to improve the physical and mental well-being of the dogs and to help their socialisation. Through responsible participation, volunteers contribute to enriching the animals' daily lives and preparing them for adoption.

Aquafitness

A musical form of aquatic exercise that is accessible to all, regardless of age or gender. It uses the resistance of the water to be gentle on the joints, while effectively developing endurance, muscle strength and toning. The classes are dynamic and fun, with exercises performed to the rhythm of music that engage the whole body.

Table tennis VESC

Table tennis, more commonly known as ping pong, is a fast-paced ball game played by two or four players on a table separated by a net. The aim is to hit the ball into the opponent's court with the racket in such a way that it bounces back in a regular way, but the opponent cannot hit it back. It develops quick reaction time, hand-eye coordination and strategic thinking.

Athletics

Athletics is the queen of sports, based on basic human movements (running, jumping, throwing). It is a complex way to develop physical skills such as strength, endurance, speed and coordination. During the advanced sessions, participants learn and practise the techniques of the various athletic events in semi-annual cycles, adapted to their biorhythm.

Bargain

Baranta is a modern Hungarian martial art style, which draws on the movement elements of the historical Hungarian martial culture. Its practices include baton twirling, sabre and spear fencing, whipping, archery, belt wrestling, as well as folk dance and folk games. It is not only a martial art, but also focuses on the cultivation of traditions and the development of physical fitness.

Basic aerobic

An easy-to-learn group class of basic aerobic steps choreographed to music. The aim is to improve endurance and shape with strengthening exercises. Ideal for those who are new to aerobic movement and want to work out in a fun, energetic environment.

BrickZone - university gym

A gym that is not just about getting in shape, but also offers a community-building space. The motivating atmosphere and relaxation area is perfect for friendly chats before and after workouts. It allows you to develop individual fitness and cultivate friendships.

Cheerleading

The modern sport of cheerleading combines spectacular elements of gymnastics, acrobatics, dance and jumps. It is mostly a team activity associated with cheering for sporting events such as American football, basketball or soccer. It is a dynamic and spectacular form of movement requiring strength, coordination, flexibility and teamwork.

Group exercise (back gymnastics)

Group spinal gymnastics is a preventative and rehabilitative form of exercise, the primary aim of which is to maintain spinal health and correct postural problems. It's not just about stretching: the exercises focus on strengthening the deep back muscles and core muscles, which stabilise the vertebrae and relieve pressure on the joints.

Dance aerobics

Aerobic dance choreographies, easy to learn and follow, to Latin, party music. Combining cardio-style movement with strengthening, shaping exercises, it develops stamina and shapes the body at the same time, providing a fun and energetic workout.

Reinforcement

Strength training (or resistance training) is a form of physical activity in which you work your muscles against external resistance - free weights, machines, rubber bands or your own body weight. It aims to increase muscle strength, build muscle mass and improve physical endurance.

Ambitious running advanced

A group run that offers training opportunities mainly for advanced runners. The distance is usually 4-5 kilometres, which gives you the opportunity to move together, maintain your running pace and enjoy the experience of community, helping to further develop your endurance.

Running is for beginners

A group run for beginners, based on the principle of gradual exertion, usually over a distance of 8-10 kilometres. Although the designation is beginner, the longer distance makes the running experience accessible to beginners, but the distance or pace is likely to be different from the actual beginner level. The aim is to build a community of runners and improve endurance.

Rowing Strengthening Circuit-room

Strength-building circuit training, performed in the gym using a rowing ergometer (rowing bench). The aim of the training is to strengthen the muscles of the whole body, especially the muscles of the back, arms and legs, and to increase endurance. Rowing exercises the major muscle groups of the body, providing an effective cardio and strength training workout.

Wall climbing

A sporting activity involving climbing on vertical surfaces (climbing walls or rocks). The aim of the University of Veszprém Climbing Club is to promote the sport and to provide the necessary conditions for safe practice. It develops strength, stamina, problem-solving skills and concentration, and climbing is mostly informal.

Developer juggling

Juggling is a developmental activity to improve concentration and learning efficiency. It also helps to increase self-confidence and improve stress tolerance. Holding balls or other objects in the air develops coordination between the two hemispheres of the brain and fine motor skills.

Flagpoles

A non-collision version of American football, flag football. The tackle is replaced by the removal of a flag, which is attached to the player's waist by Velcro. Two teams play against each other, where the goal of the attackers is to get the ball into the endzone by running or passing, and the goal of the defenders is to prevent this. Develops strategic thinking and speed.

Functional training

The essence of functional training is that it doesn't work a single muscle group in isolation (like most gym machines), but instead focuses on the body as a whole. It exercises movement patterns that occur in everyday life or on the sports field: squats, deadlifts, pulls, pushes and rotations.

Functional strength training

It aims to improve general fitness, posture and movement development. Training with a variety of exercises using a variety of equipment (e.g. TRX, medicine ball, barbell, kettlebell). Functional training mimics movement patterns of everyday life, strengthening core muscles. Recommended for beginners and advanced exercisers.

Functional training

Functional training is in fact „teaching movement”: it focuses not on the size of your muscles, but on their coordinated function. Whereas traditional machine training often isolates muscles (e.g. only the biceps work), here we think in chains. The goal is to get your body moving more efficiently and safely in everyday life or in any sport.

Football

Football (soccer) is the world's most popular team sport, and its power lies in its simplicity: two teams of eleven players fight to get the ball into the opponent's goal, using mainly their feet (or any other body part besides their hands).
